Moments before I snapped this picture, I was scrambling.
Panicked and searching for that one edge piece I had obviously lost. There was NO WAY I had all of the pieces because I couldn’t imagine a scenario where the five sections I had remaining would fit together neatly.
Life is like that right now; scattered, broken. There seems to be no way forward. No possible scenario where our lives will regain some semblance of normal.
If you’re like me, many of you have been frantically searching through the rubble of news articles, blogs, and posts. Searching for the piece that you must’ve forgotten. That end piece that is meant to tie all of the sides together and give us a starting point for rebuilding our lives.
But the piece isn’t missing. We’ve had it all along. God is our end piece; our foundation; our cornerstone. He is the way our pieces fit back together.

If you’ve ever tried to make a big life change without God, you know how hard it is. Things happen; plans fall through; people leave us; hearts break.
With God though, things happen; plans fall through; people leave us; hearts break… and we find peace in the things that remain. We find comfort in the everlasting words. We find hope in the promises God has laid out for us.
I often forget that God is in control, that I can rely on him, and that I can talk to him when I need him. In fact, my favorite bible verse is the one that reminds me to hear God’s voice in every situation.
John 1:1 says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” The Bible is not just a book; it’s God’s voice; his half of the conversation. When I can’t see the end, I talk to God, I read, and I listen.
He tells me things like, “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28
We don’t need to know how the pieces fit together to know that God will put them together perfectly.
